A few words from Sue
I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice for nearly three decades, working with children, adolescents, families, and adults in Agoura Hills and across Southern California.
I came to this work through the gift of meeting Violet Oaklander in 1994 — and was honored to study and train with her until her passing in 2021. Her theoretical model, created specifically for working with children and their families, has shaped every part of my practice. I now offer trainings in her approach to therapists internationally.
I was a part of creating the Violet Solomon Oaklander Foundation, and served as its Founding President from 2006 through 2018. That work continues to carry her teaching forward to the next generation of clinicians.
